What a lovely surprise! This morning we drove over to Bell in the Western Downs to collect paintings I had recently entered into the Bell Art Competition 2019 and to look around the rest of the exhibits. Because of a computer glitch, I had not received a list of prize winners and assumed that I had not been successful. Imagine my surprise when I saw a blue ribbon next to my watercolour "Drought". It had won first prize in the portrait section!! Then I found that "Go Where the Music Sends You" had won a highly commended in the watercolour section. Add to that the fact that some kind people had bought "Superb Garden Fairies" which I had entered into the miniature category and I came away dancing on air!
