Aspiration

"Aspiration" is the title of this cat portrait. Her focus is firmly on something just beyond her reach but she has high hopes and plans to get there. It's rather like that with watercolour painting as each attempt only makes you aspire to do better next time. Somehow the perfect picture is always a chimera just beyond your reach, but you have high hopes of getting there next time! That's what keeps us all painting as we attempt to express the ideal image we have in our mind's eye.
