We are lucky to live surrounded by bushland which contains an assortment of native animals. A mob of wallabies visits almost daily and their antics never fail to delight and entertain. No matter how many times I see them, they stir my heart and I am amazed at the privilege of being able to observe wild animals from close quarters. All kinds of dramas unfold - fights for pecking order, romantic trysts, touching nurturing of mothers and joeys. The most fun is when a young joey leaves the pouch for the first time and discovers his bouncy legs. I've tried many times to capture the essence of their delicate features in watercolour.
